MADE BY A UNIQUE FORMULA

Bonpet liquid it’s not a FOAM.

Bonpet liquid is a water solution of inorganic salts and organic compounds.

Contact of a water solution and a fire causes, that the energy from a fire is used to heat and evaporate water and for endothermic decomposition of chemicals added in fire extinguisher.

Endothermic reaction and the release of gasses, suppressing fire on its surface

The components of Bonpet liquid cause a fast transport of the heat on a chemical part, using water when they get in contact with hot surface. Wet chemicals decompose into gasses (CO2, N2) which suffocate fire directly on burning surface, by preventing fire to get to the oxygen.

The gasses suffocate fire directly on burning surface (intensive cooling and approximately 60-times bigger volume comparing to the size of a drop) due to this relatively small quantity of chemicals is needed to effectively put out a fire.

Bonpet liquid prevents the fire to re-ignite..

Non-decomposed components of Bonpet liquid that remain on the surface after the fire has been extinguished, have the ability to disintegrate and cool the surface, if there is a slight increase of temperature.

How and where it can be used.

No special equipment is required for the use of Bonpet liquid. It can be used in all types of fire-fighting vehicles, fire suppression mechanisms, and in permanent fire suppression installations, with maximum efficiency and immediacy, compared to any other extinguishing material. As a liquid, it can be used in its pure form, i.e., 100% pure, with hundreds of times greater extinguishing power than water, or mixed with water in a minimum ratio of 3% or higher.

Bonpet liquid is approved by the Hellenic Fire Service for use in all fire-fighting vehicles.

Bonpet fire extinguishing liquid has been approved for use by all fire-fighting vehicles of the Hellenic Fire Service since July 21, 2011, with the relevant document from the Fire Brigade Headquarters (Protocol No. 33139: 21/07/2011, and supplementarily with Protocol No. 17301: 28/05/2024).

BONPET liquid notable advantages.

The utilization of BONPET liquid offers several notable advantages, primarily stemming from its enhanced extinguishing capabilities. One significant benefit is the substantial reduction in extinguishing times, which can be attributed to the superior performance of the liquid in suppressing fires. As a result, this leads to a notable decrease in the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions generated by the fire, contributing to a more environmentally sustainable approach. Additionally, the reduced time required for extinguishing translates into a smaller burned area that needs to be restored back to its original state, thereby minimizing the overall impact and facilitating post-fire recovery efforts.

BONPET liquid and cost-effectiveness.

Another advantageous aspect of BONPET liquid is its cost-effectiveness. The liquid can be conveniently pre-mixed with water, allowing for the optimal ratio to be achieved for extinguishing various types of fires, including larger ones. This approach significantly lowers the cost of fire suppression operations while still maintaining the desired extinguishing effect. By offering a cost-effective solution, BONPET liquid enables efficient fire management without compromising on effectiveness.

BONPET liquid environmental benefits.

Furthermore, the environmental benefits of BONPET liquid are worth highlighting. The formulation of the liquid is specifically designed to ensure that it does not produce any harm during the extinguishing process and thereafter.

It is non-toxic and does not pose a threat to humans or wildlife or plant life, making it environmentally friendly.

This characteristic underscore the commitment to environmental stewardship and provides reassurance that the fire suppression efforts do not come at the expense of the ecosystem.

In summary, the utilization of BONPET liquid offers significant advantages, including enhanced extinguishing capabilities leading to reduced extinguishing times and decreased CO2 emissions.

The liquid’s cost-effectiveness and its environmentally friendly nature further contribute to its appeal as a valuable tool for fire suppression operations.

BONPET LIQUID IS THE ONLY SOLUTION FOR HIGHT VOLTAGE TRACTION LITHIUM BATTERIES & EVs

Characteristics of Lithium Battery Fires:

  • High Temperatures: Lithium battery fires can reach extremely high temperatures (up to 1,000°C or more), making them difficult to extinguish.
  • Explosion Risk: During a fire, there is a risk of explosions due to the instability of the battery, which can make the situation even more dangerous.
  • Release of Toxic Gases: When lithium batteries catch fire, they can release hazardous gases such as hydrogen fluoride (HF), which pose significant health risks.
  • Thermal Runaway: A process known as “thermal runaway” can occur, where the battery’s temperature rapidly increases, leading to further damage and fire.

Challenges in Extinguishing Lithium Battery Fires:

  • Internationally, based on current data, it has been proven that commonly used extinguishing agents in portable fire extinguishers, such as dry powder, carbon dioxide, foam, and water, are not effective in extinguishing such fires.
  • Difficult to Contain: Due to the high energy density of lithium batteries, once a fire starts, it can be very difficult to control or extinguish without the right equipment and extinguishing agents.
  • Proper handling, storage, and disposal of lithium batteries are crucial to prevent the risk of fire.
  • Training and fire safety protocols must be adapted to deal with these specific fire hazards.
  • Lithium batteries, when burning, not only reach extremely high temperatures but also produce their own oxygen. This is one of the main reasons why none of the widely used extinguishing agents (such as powders, foams, carbon dioxide, etc.) can’t extinguish these fires.

The usual amounts of water required to extinguish an electric vehicle fire vary by case, ranging from 10.000 to 120.000 liters, according to Fire Services worldwide.

The extinguishing agent BONPET is not a foam; it works purely through chemical reactions.

In addition to its other unique characteristics, it has proven to be the only one capable of fully interrupting combustion in lithium battery fires by depriving the fire of the oxygen it generates. Combined with the continuous cooling effect it produces, it provides definitive extinguishing, requiring only minimal quantities compared to other methods.

TESTED FOR HIGHT VOLTAGE TRACTION LITHIUM BATTERIES & EVs.

Bonpet agent tested during official extinguishing tests conducted by the European Fire Service (Slovakia), in collaboration with the University of Bratislava, the University of Žilina (School of Fire Engineering), and STELLANTIS, as part of a research program in March and April 2023.

It has been proven among all other existing agents, that the extinguishing agent Bonpet is the only one capable to permanently extinguishing these fires, providing a unique global solution for extinguishing high-voltage traction lithium-ion batteries used in electric vehicles, as well as the electric cars themselves.

A 6L portable fire extinguisher from Bonpet Systems it was the only one that managed to fully and permanently extinguish a High-Voltage Lithium-Ion traction Battery fire of an electric vehicle, with a capacity of approximately 25 kWh, 95% charged, in less than 60 seconds.

<< The fire extinguishing performance, in a simulation with field experiment of wildland fire, of liquid BONPET and pure water was studied. The results show that 6% BONPET liquid has better performance than pure water. The fire extinguishing simulation shows that the extinguishing performance of liquid BONPET 6% reduces the temperature at the burning area more quickly, showing a better cooling effect than water. Furthermore, shows that achieved 80% water saving and 60% faster extinguishing with the use of 6% BONPET liquid. Moreover, it has been observed that the utilization of BONPET liquid for fire suppression leads to reduced collateral damage. This is attributed to the unique properties of BONPET liquid, as its non-decomposed components persist on the surface following extinguishment. These residual components possess the capability to disintegrate and facilitate surface cooling in the event of a minor temperature rise.>>
